About Us

An independent resource for Prostate 911 research and practical prostate-health guidance, with medical review and clear disclosure of the evidence gaps.

By Dr. Marcus Reed, MD · Last Updated: July 23, 2026

What This Website Provides

This website is an independent review and information resource covering Prostate 911 and prostate health more broadly. It is not the official Prostate 911 website, and it is not operated by, endorsed by, or affiliated with PhytAge Labs.

Our goal is to give men researching prostate supplements a clear assessment of what the evidence supports, what it does not, and where the limitations are. That means we publish the criticisms alongside the benefits, we cite primary research on PubMed rather than other review sites, and we say directly when a question is unsettled.

That means highlighting details a promotional page may leave out — that the widely repeated "353% improvement" figure has no traceable source, that the formula uses nettle leaf where the research used root, and that no supplement is FDA-approved regardless of what its marketing says.

How We Review the Evidence

Every ingredient claim on this site traces back to a primary source — a randomized controlled trial, systematic review or meta-analysis indexed on PubMed, cited with its PMID so you can verify it yourself. Where evidence is mixed, we say so. Where a finding comes from cell or animal studies rather than humans, we label it rather than presenting it as established.

We also state doses, and check whether they match. Much of the supplement content online cites a study without explaining that it used a different plant part, another type of extract, or a dose several times higher than the product provides. We try not to do that.

Medical Review

Dr. Marcus Reed, MD

Urologist & Men's Health Specialist

Dr. Reed is a board-certified urologist whose clinical focus is benign prostatic hyperplasia, lower urinary tract symptoms, and men's health across the second half of life. He reviews the medical content on this site for factual accuracy, appropriate caveating, and correct representation of the underlying research.

His editorial position on supplements is deliberately moderate: several natural ingredients have real trial evidence for mild-to-moderate urinary symptoms, none of them substitute for evaluation when symptoms are significant, and men are best served by content stating both clearly.

Medical review means content has been checked for factual accuracy and appropriate framing. It does not constitute personal medical advice, and no doctor-patient relationship is created by reading this site.

How the Website Is Funded

This site contains affiliate links. If you buy Prostate 911 through a link here, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. That is how the site is funded.

We think you should know that, and judge our content accordingly — which is why we publish the limitations of the product we link to, including the undisclosed proprietary blend, the nettle leaf issue, and the unsupported marketing claims. A review that only says positive things about a product it earns from is not worth reading. Our full editorial policy explains how we handle this.
